Carlin Consulting Group responds to the needs of increasing levels of industry knowledge, expertise and sophistication required by today’s government contractor.  Changes in the regulatory environment governing CPA firms have had a profound impact on their service offerings.  Sarbanes Oxley limits the services that public accounting firms are permitted to provide to their publicly-traded audit customers.  This phenomena is now beginning to occur within privately-held companies as they seek independent advice, counsel and solutions outside of the traditional audit process.  As an independent consulting firm, we do not have the types of conflicts that CPA firms do.  Though we hire CPAs within our professional staff, we are not a CPA firm.  We believe that our independence, industry expertise and focus, our reputation in the industry and experienced personnel will be of tremendous benefit to our customers.

Our personnel are involved with government contractors on a daily basis, and are very familiar with the accounting issues specifically relating to the industry. We deal with the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, and other government agencies on a regular basis. Our team is kept current on government contract accounting through required continuing education seminars and in-house training.
